About Pack 886

Pack 886 was formed in 1970 and serves boys in kindergarten through 5th grade in South Windsor, CT. The chartered organization of Pack 886 is St. Margaret Mary Church, 80 Hayes Road, South Windsor, CT. Cub Scouting is a year-round family-oriented part of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) program.

Our scouts meet monthly in small den (grade level) groups where they spend time working on age-appropriate scouting adventures with their volunteer parent Den Leader(s). On one Sunday evening each month the entire Pack 886 (all grades, as well as parents and siblings) meets at St. Margaret Mary for an evening of fun and games, ceremonies, and recognition.

It is "fun with purpose," capitalizing on a young boy’s interests from building his own pinewood derby® car to roasting that perfect marshmallow with his best friends at a family campout. Each adventure is designed to help scouts build character development, spiritual growth, good citizenship, sportsmanship & fitness, family understanding, respectful relationships, personal achievement, friendly service, fun and adventure, & ultimately preparation for Boy Scouts! Your son will LOVE being a Cub Scout!

So if your son is in kindergarten through fifth grade, 5 to 10 years old, then it’s time for him to come and find out what all the fun is about! Please use the Contact Us link on the left navigation bar for more information, or join us at our next Pack meeting!
